TAX SALE INFORMATION
BOONE COUNTY TAX SALE; each year the County Clerk’s Office is responsible for conducting a tax sale on any remaining delinquent tax bills. During that time, the delinquent tax bills are eligible to be purchased by a Third Party.

BOONE COUNTY 2022 DELINQUENT TAX BILL SALE DETAILS
The following information is being provided to answer questions you may have pertaining to the structure and implementation of our upcoming tax sale. If you have any questions remaining after reviewing this information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Registration: All Third-Party Purchasers MUST register with the Boone County Clerk’s office before participating in the tax sale. Registration is August 8 – August 15, 2023. All fees (registration & filing) will be collected at the time of registration via certified funds.
Priority Purchases: All Third-Party Purchasers having priority on any current year certificates of delinquency must submit a list of priority bills separate from lottery lists and 100% of the August pay off amount for the bill.
Deposit: In order to participate in our sale and in compliance with 103 KAR 5:180 S4(c) each Third-Party Purchaser will be required to provide twenty-five (25) percent of the value of the purchaser’s list via certified funds no later than August 15, 2023.
Draw: Once you arrive and check in your company name is added to the basket. At 7:30 am we will draw at random for our placement. Any Third-Party Purchaser that arrives after this time, but before the sale begins, will be added to the end of the decided placements upon arrival. Should a Third-Party Purchaser arrive after purchasing has begun they will not be allowed to participate in the sale, but will be able to purchase whichever bills remain at the close of the sale.
List: We have updated our spreadsheets for submitting your priority & lottery lists. PLEASE use the spreadsheet provided.
BEWARE: The master list includes ALL delinquencies; we ask that you please research and are AWARE of what you agree to purchase as we cannot guarantee the waiver or refund.
